these are the kinda people that call me sensitive and angry.... when talking about out of control law enforcement or racial injustices but then go and do this.
i mean how childish is this? ok, your upset and your first recourse is to set up a camera to record you being extremely childish? then for some reason you decide to broadcast this behavior to the world. Wait it doesn't stop there. Then you get applauded by your peers in your inner bubble and you pat yourself on the back. why not, you have seen this before. Person gets upset, burns item in protest to show the level of commitment to their immaturity only to eventually watch their post go viral for reasons other than intended. Somehow your incredible genius is able to put this to the back of your mind as you go down the path of duplicating this ridiculous behavior for yourself thinking the outcome would be different for you?
we have had over a year to talk and try to come to some kinda of understanding about the NFL protest.
the tone of these broadcasters here is bias, almost in disbelief that nike would support colin's perspective. she called it an anthem protest, WRONG. its a protest against police brutality. get that through your thick heads. so there misinformation right off the back. people are purposely mislead and then do stupid things like burn things. recently FORD, old money ford said its ok to kneel, so are people going to start burning trucks or driving them of cliffs. they have suggestions on how to deal with it somewhere else like donating to the community. he does that already dumbass. what do you think he has been doing with his free time? jason whitlock for the record is a certified coon for hire and does in no way speak for our community. i have no idea who mr. jackson is but if he works for fox he is not credible to me either.
we have dismissed the flag narrative as false, we have dismissed the veterans narrative as false. the players didn't even have to come out for the national anthem until the armed forces started paying for it. so its and ad basically. we have dismissed the all live matter narrative while watching puerto rico receive very little support from us even though they are us citizens. or how water in flint michigan has been toxic for over 1500 days and counting. we have also dismissed that is act is disrespecting veterans since it was a veteran that instructed him to knell in respect instead of just sitting down, which is what he was doing prior and that got no media coverage.
what we have not addressed is the number poc that continue to die by the hands of law enforcement. in sacramento alone there have been almost 20 incidents in the past two year where the use of deadly force to a person of color was used without cause.
Meanwhile this guy Tom Latanowich who has had 111 prior arrest, how that is possible i have no idea, labeled "notorious and violent" allegedly murders a cop trying to serve him a warrant in a previous situations and it out somehow to stab someone else, and he is taken into police custody alive even though he was found blooded and armed.
just last month a beautiful young teenager named nia wilson was brutally murdered by an alleged alt right hatermonger patriotic terrorist named john lee cowell, another violent person with a long history out on parole to end a life brutally by cutting her throat while she tried to help an elder off the train, he also attempted to murder her sister who survived the attack. he too was arrested peacefully like he has done nothing wrong.
i have explained the protest countless times to people like this and i have come to the conclusion they are either clinically unable to process accountability due to privilege being embedded so deep culturally that everything is processed as regular behavior to them. they have never experienced life without racism being entrenched into every facet of our everyday lives. you would think that a country established itself by rebelling against the throne, committing mass genocides on multiple continents and enslaving people to build wealth would be able to maybe see the possibility of some people here not being treated fairly.
when i was growing up we didn't have cell phones. cameras only came with film. there was no way to record how we are treated. we would tell people and nobody would believe us. we all quietly wished we could record what was happening to us. we would have proof. the world would now know the truth. JUSTICE would be served.... well we live in world know were we can record, and the world does see. i really don't think people here take that into account because of our vanity. the sad thing to me is that americans see it. we see it everyday but it is normal to us. poc protest but quietly deep inside expect nothing to change. nothing has changed. most anglos see nothing wrong with how we are treated. they usually seem annoyed at just the thought of us claiming rights they don't want us to have, while pretending we are equal. it was never the plan for us to be equal, so lets make america great again they say.
if you are protesting.... a peaceful protest during a racist song, that is over in 5 mins, about a group of people you claim are equal and have the same opportunities as you. over the right to not be abused or shot and murdered while unarmed at a traffic stop where they were the passenger (philando castile), by those sworn to protect and serve. you are saying it is patriotic to support this abusive behavior. to the point you are willing to, after all this dialog, burn items you already spent money on to be one of the viral idiots today, please do not let me stop you. you can't hide behind the flag narrative anymore since its supposed to represent something like FREEDOM. we all now how our vets are treated, we step over them on the way to starbucks or roll up our windows during rush hour and hwy exits when they beg for change. so if its not really about the flag and its not really about the veterans, then what is all this really about?
the only constant is change, unfortunately most of us fear change. i would say there are others that are absolutely terrified of it and will resist it to their demise. in my experiences some of the changes i feared in my life ended up turning out a way better situation then expected. change is constant embrace it, stop throwing temper tantrums in public unless you do support the public execution of poc for any reason a person with a badge says, whether its alternative facts or not. then i guess you wouldn't be petty at all, just a gigantic pos.
